We are looking for individuals with proven power systems analysis experience and a drive to succeed. You will take ownership of a wide variety of power projects and studies for industrial customers including generator interconnection studies, stability studies, harmonic analysis, and designs of substation and power distribution systems. With each project, you will be responsible for solving problems throughout the design process from the conception of the design through to commissioning. You will provide leadership and mentoring to junior Engineers and Technologists.
Power Systems is a small group of dedicated, practical, and versatile individuals within Engineered Systems at ANDRITZ AUTOMATION. The ANDRITZ GROUP is a global market leader for customized plant systems and services in hydropower, pulp and paper, steel and other specialized industries including solid/liquid separation, feed and biofuel. We are experiencing a growing demand within the areas of power systems and compact power generation.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial electrical power systems and power generation
- Demonstrated power system analysis capability including the use of software based tools for protection, coordination and load flow studies
- Generator control system design and commissioning experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead project design teams
- Minimum 6 - 10 years experience in power system design and analysis
- Relevant degree in engineering and eligibility or registration as a P.Eng. with APEGBC
- A love of engineering and a strong work ethic
